Where & when cowz and bison almost meet, at least one is likely to be eaten today by a kzin, a dragon, an ogre magi, a devil, or some other hungry mid rank commander, along with whoever let it happen. Titanic forces contest eternally and subtly, and frequently with tremendous violence. There are warriors on both sides who have been dead many times before and will likely be back by dawn.
